A popular British TikToker, who goes by the name “Edenharvzofficial” and has 3.2 million followers, has recently come under severe scrutiny over a controversial resurfaced clip.
The clip in question, which allegedly first appeared nearly six years ago, seemingly features Eden talking about a subject that she says could get her account “suspended.”
“I don’t know if my account is going to be suspended for this.”
She claims in the video that she was going to see her cousin’s band, which was in a school play, and admits that she once “fancied his friend”, the lead singer.
She continues to explain that the “friend” was around 10 years old when she first fancied him, while she was allegedly 18 years old, the age she claims to have been when she first started watching them.
“I’m not ashamed, okay,” she said in the resurfaced clip.
“So, I’m gonna take you guys to the play with me; I’m going to see the [band], Crucible.”
“I’m going to show you this hottie because it’s undeniable, guys, I’m a cougar,” she continued.
She then proceeds to show images of the boy in question, showing a short clip of the band live on stage, before showcasing another short clip of herself appearing upset.
Although the TikToker has now turned off her comments on her page, she has since made a lengthy statement on her Instagram story addressing the concerns that viewers have, calling it “entirely satire.”
“I want to take a moment to re-address a video that has resurfaced from nearly 6 years ago.”
“This had already been addressed at the time, however, I cannot ignore people’s concern.”
“I was stupidly trying to use extreme humour and shock value to gain attention online.”
“It was entirely satire,” she claims.
“I also want to make it abundantly clear I never ever knew this person when they were 10 and I am not years older either.”
“I realize how wildly inappropriate and thoughtless my words were. I’m MORTIFIED.”
“I want to be clear-there is obviously never any truth behind what I said.”
“I thought this would be evident as I posted it myself.”
“It was an immature attempt at satirical humor,” she added.
“I understand that some things should never be joked about.”
“It’s just not funny. It’s vile and of poor taste.”
“I’ve personally apologized to those involved, and although they’re confused why it’s being resurfaced, I’m grateful for their understanding and forgiveness yet again.”
Despite this statement, TikTok users are “gobsmacked” and pointed out “she’s blocking people who are calling her out” for her behaviour that has left them feeling “physically sick.”

Another added that “Anyone defending this, just wanna know if you’d keep the same energy if it was a guy that said this “as a joke.”
